Micro-credential: Classic and Modern Methods of Epidemiology

Learning outcomes

This micro-credential focuses on the following learning outcomes.

1. The participant understands the basic terminology and the basic principles of epidemiology.

2. The participant can describe, calculate and interpret the different measures of occurrence, association and impact used in epidemiological research.

3. The participant understands causality concepts and threats to causality in epidemiology (e.g. bias and confounding).

4. The participant can accurately present the different types of epidemiological studies including cohort, case-control, intervention, and other designs.
