Activities for international students

Here's what we do to make you feel at home

Meeting fellow (international) students and expanding your global network is an essential part of your study experience.

To help you fully integrate in your new environment, the university organizes plenty of activities for you to take part in.

Welcome Week and Faculty Day

A week before the academic year begins, the international student office organises a welcome week to help you have a successful start. You’ll receive information on living in Belgium (residence permit, health insurance, ..), studying at our university (facilities, educational system, ...) and connect with students from different faculties.

On the Faculty Day, we welcome you to the Faculty of Business and Economics so you can get to know your fellow classmates and discover the city.

 International Student Mixer

At the start of each semester, we organise a mixer event to bring together all international students studying at our faculty. You can meet up with other master students, exchange students, bachelor students Social Economic Sciences and students from our non-degree programmes or get to know our student associations. And we do this in true Belgian style: with fries!

Discovering the city of Antwerp

Throughout the year, we will introduce you to what makes Antwerp unique. In the first semester, you’ll explore the city's global impact in industries such as fashion and diamonds. In the second semester, you’ll go behind the scenes at the Port of Antwerp, one of Europe’s most important economic hubs. That way, Antwerp becomes your classroom!

Graduation Event

After an academic year of hard work, we celebrate your graduation in style together with your fellow students, your professors and the dean.
