The city of diamonds, fashion, sports, history and culture by the majestic river Scheldt – Antwerp has many different faces. Antwerp is vibrant, full of character and has everything you need and more, offering the ideal mix for a fantastic student life. The city is located in Flanders, the Dutch-speaking region of Belgium, where English is very widely spoken and understood, with nearly everyone in the city and across the country able to communicate fluently in English in both academic and everyday settings.

Accommodation & living costs

Be aware that accommodation and living costs in Belgium, like many other European countries, is not considered cheap; prices for monthly accommodation generally start from €390 for a shared kitchen & bathroom and generally go upwards of €450 - €500 or more for a private studio. Furthermore, your monthly living cost in Antwerp will be around €500 per month (rough estimate), rent not included (an approximation of meals at €210, transport €150, leisure €120 and course materials €20). Getting around

All information regarding public & non-public transport to reach each campus can be found here. We highly recommend having a look at renting a bicycle and/or getting a bus subscription to move around.
