The Career Center FBE is the place to go for career guidance and orientation. On this platform, students and hundreds of national and international companies find each other through vacancies, internships and events related to career development.

Shape your career

As a student, you can partake in the Shape Your Career track, a series of 4 events on campus organised by the faculty, Randstad Young Talents, some of our alumni and the student associations.

During the track, you will learn more about the job market, discover your talents, network with alumni, and so on. If you attended 3 out of 4 session, you will receive a certificate that looks great on your resume. Register via the Career Center.

Leadership Track

This track aims to prepare students to take on a leadership role in a dynamic multicultural context through several workshops:

1. intercultural awareness: recognizing and developing intercultural competences that foster cooperation in multicultural teams. 
2. leadership styles: to determine which kind of leader you are and how you can translate your strengths in a team 
3. structured problem solving: learning to analyse and solve a consulting case in a structured and effective way.

Moving Forward is the job and information fair for graduates, PhD students and alumni initiated by the University of Antwerp, Antwerp Maritime Academy (HZS), AP Hogeschool and KDG. Goal of this event is to help you prepare for the next step in your life.

You’ll have the opportunity to gather information, participate in workshops, join speeddates with companies and receive personal coaching (cv, job interview, etc.). You can find more information on the website. Already block February 26 in your agenda, more practical information will follow.

The Faculty of Business and Economics works together with Randstad, a temporary placement agency, to connect students with the business world during their studies. 

They have a special programme focused on students and young graduates called ‘Randstad Young Talents’, and you can book an on-campus meeting with one of their consultants.

In 2014, the Antwerp University Association started with the development of a student entrepreneurship program named TAKEOFFANTWERP. 

This program focusses on the development of competences related to entrepreneurship by students in their bachelor’s or master’s degree, regardless of their field of study. TAKEOFFANTWERP support students who are interested in running a business, as a self-employed professional or an entrepreneur.​​​​

Interested in research? Then a PhD might be something for you. Doing a PhD after your degree shows that you can make a significant, independent contribution to your discipline.
