- On 3-7 July 2023, the Animal & Law Chair organizes the Summer School 'Animal Law, Rights, and Representation', in collaboration with 13 international guest speakers.
- On October 9, 2023, Dra. Eva Bernet Kempers participates in an international symposium on the topic 'biodiversity and animal rights' at the University of Helsinki.
- On November 29, 2023, Dra. Eva Bernet Kempers and prof. Frederik Swennen will participate in the Day of Science at the ZOO Antwerp.

On January 11, 2023, Dra. Eva Bernet Kempers successfully defended her PhD on animal dignity.

The Animal & Law Chair organized and participated in several activities in the academic year 2021-2022:
- A YUFE Transnational Law Course "Animal & Law" for master students studying at YUFE universities in the second semester.

- A 5-day Law Lecturers' Workshop was held at the University of Antwerp from the 18th to the 22nd of July, 2022, to equip Law lecturers and PhD students interested in teaching animal rights law with the necessary tools. The Workshop is co-organised by Eva Bernet Kempers as representative of the Animal & Law Chair (who can be reached for questions about the Workshop) and by the Cambridge Centre for Animal Rights Law
- An international conference on Animal Dignity in Antwerp on 8 and 9 October 2021, by dr. Johan Van de Voorde and dra. Eva Bernet Kempers.
- Dr. Johan Van de Voorde contributed to the Conference 'L'animal saisi dans les procédures' at the Côte d'Azur University in Nice on the 28th of January 2022.
- Dra. Eva Bernet Kempers presented at the 'conference on Rights for non humans: AI, Robots, Cyborgs, Animals and Nature' at the University of Uppsala on the 9-10th of June.
