The coordinating university of the SPICES project is the University of Antwerp, a young, dynamic and forward-thinking university.

The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of the University of Antwerp promotes public health through education, research and services about which it communicates transparently at all times. The faculty has a strong international dimension.

Hilde Bastiaens, professor at the Centre for primary care medicine, Department of Interdisciplinary and Primary Care is the overall Principal Investigator and Project Coordinator. Geofrey Musinguzi from the Makerere University School of Public Health (MakSPH) in Uganda and post-doctoral researcher at the University of Antwerp, is the project manager.

Co-promoters of the project are Paul Van Royen, dean of the faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, and Jean-Pierre Van geertruyden, coordinator of the Global Health Institute. Jan Vervoort is in charge of the financial management of the project.
