ECOSPHERE believes that art is an added value for science and vice versa. Nature is not just numbers, it is also pure emotion and mesmerizing beauty. We all care more for things that touch our heart an soul, and that is what art does. Therefore, we collaborate with the Antwerp Research Institute for the Arts, the Art and Ecology Research Group and Sint Lucas Antwerpen Research Group (SLARG).
We closely collaborate with these visiting artists:
- American eco-artist, biologist, and environmental activist Brandon Ballengée
- South-African - Belgian artist Bianca Baldi explores how stories shape knowledge
19 June 2025 (revisited on 4 June 2026). A unique sonic experience inside the Mesodrome, where the fluid ecologies of the River Rhine were brought to life through three commissioned radio plays presented via silent disco headsets. The event formed part of Pantha Rhei on the Rhine, a transdisciplinary project conceived by Dr. Haseeb Ahmed and supported by Pro Helvetia, the Swiss Arts Council.
