NANOlight Center of Excellence

The NANOlight center of excellence consists of six research groups with complementary expertise in the field of nanoscience and nanomaterials.

The consortium offers a unique combination of multi-disciplinary expertise important for the further development and use of nanomaterials in actual devices, ranging from physics (EMAT, CMT), chemistry (AXIS), bio-science engineering (APecs - De Wael, APecs - Verbruggen) to business and economics (EnvEcon).

The research statement of the NANOlight consortium is to rationally design and use nanomaterials and their interaction with light in fields as diverse as plasmonics, electrosensing, photo-catalysis and in applications such as art conservation, environment and sustainable energy.
