Beldeko

Description

The Belgisches Deutschkorpus (Beldeko) contains 301 summaries (70,774 words) produced by L2 German students with L1 Dutch. The corpus texts were written by 115 students, majoring in German (CEFR level of B2-C1) at the University of Ghent in 2013 and 2014 and the University College Ghent (2013). The students digitally produced one summary based on two popular-scientific texts about a topic related to language variation in contemporary German (Kiezdeutsch, Mundartendebatte in der Schweiz, Viadrinisch, Varianten-Wörterbuch des Deutschen). The current version of the corpus was published in 2020.
