The lab focuses on well-being and key human capacities, such as empathy, creativity, and moral reasoning, within legal professions. The lab is headed by Prof. dr. Anne Van de Vijver.

Project Legal Well-being (BOF)
This project investigates well-being and flourishing in legal professions (in collaboration with Prof. dr. Joëlle Rozie and Prof. dr. Miet Vanderhallen).

Project Legal Empathy
This project investigates empathy among legal actors and explores how empathy relates to legal principles such as independence and (im)partiality (in collaboration with Prof. dr. Stefan Rutten).

Project Legal Creativity (FWO project G062426N)
This project conceptualizes legal creativity, develops a measurement tool for legal creativity, and creates a creativity training program tailored to the legal context (in collaboration with dr. Sven Mathijssen, Radboud University).

Project "model of Gifted Flourishing"
This project develops a new "model of Gifted Flourishing", that desbribes and explains how the interaction between giftedness, personal standards, self-effectivity, environmental factors, and behavior results in flourishing. The model is applied to gifted adults in legal professions.
Project Resonance (FWO project G043723N)
This project develops a framework to evaluate automated decision-making within public administrations and businesses. The framework integrates psychological needs, fairness, and good governance (in collaboration with Prof. dr. Erich Kirchler, University of Vienna, and Prof. dr. Stéphanie De Somer).
