At the University of Antwerp, we ensure the quality of our programmes. Every programme goes through a quality assurance cycle of six years.
In year 3, a balance is drawn up of the quality assurance of the programme during internal process monitoring and control. In 2017 this took place for the Master of Rehabilitation Sciences and Physiotherapy.
Year 6 concludes the cycle with a peer review. The study programme reflects on itself and has a discussions with internal and external experts and an independent student.
On 10 and 11 May 2017 the peer review team visited the Master Rehabilitation Sciences and Physiotherapy and decided to confirm confidence in the programme.
The Bachelor’s and Master’s programme Rehabilitation Sciences and Physiotherapy are carried out by a motivated and competent team with a clear and ambitious vision.
This vision is characterized by:
Evidence based practice combines evidence from scientific research with clinical expertise and the judgement of the patient. The programme succeeds in bringing together a practice-oriented and academic approach. There’s an extensive high-quality internship and the internships are logically built up through the bachelor’s programme.
The programme wants interdisciplinarity to be more explicit in the curriculum as it plays a major role in the programme.
Regarding internationalization the programme initated a new bridging and master’s programme in English which require further expansion and follow up.
