The Center for Research and Innovation in Care in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences is looking for a part-time (60%) postdoctoral researcher for the “Arega Chair” in the field of quality of life and quality of care in persons with polypharmacy or complex pharmacotherapy.


  • You assist in ongoing research projects in interprofessional pharmaceutical care and the activities of the Arega Chair.
  • You help coordinate project proposals in the field of interprofessional pharmaceutical care and contribute to attracting external funding.
  • You assist in the supervision of PhD students and other team members.
  • You fulfil a limited number of teaching activities in the field of pharmaceutical care.
  • You support the valorisation of research results (business contacts, product development, …)
  • You participate in the provision of academic services: you represent the research group both internally and externally, help to coordinate service projects, and so on.


  • You hold a PhD in (bio)medical sciences or pharmaceutical sciences (or you will have obtained it by the time you start work).
  • Your research qualities are in line with the faculty and university research policies.
  • Your teaching competences are in line with the University of Antwerp’s educational vision.
  • You act with attention to quality, integrity, creativity and cooperation.
  • You can speak and write fluently in English and also express yourself in Dutch.

What we offer

  • We offer a part-time (60%) contract as a postdoctoral researcher for a period of 2 years (can be extended after positive evaluation).
  • Your gross monthly salary is calculated according to the pay scale for a principal research fellow in the contract research staff category (Dutch: Bijzonder Academisch Personeel, BAP).
  • The planned start date is September 1th 2020 or as soon as possible after that date.
  • You will do most of your work at Campus Drie Eiken in a dynamic and stimulating working environment.
