F8n MultiTrack Field Recorder
Another option is the Zoom F8n multitrack recording and mixing system that allows individual recording, mixing and synching of different audio channels. This system provides 8 discrete inputs, allowing 8 independent sound recordings at the same time. It supports recordings up to 24-bit/192 kHz and its high quality mic preamps with up to 75 dB gain and less than -127 dBu EIN. It records onto SD card.

Sennheiser XSW-D lavalier microphone set
This omnidirectional clip-on microphone comes with a 2 m (6.6') cable, a wireless transmitter, and receiver. It is primarily used for recording in-depth interviews and focus groups. It can be effectively employed outdoors with mobile systems such as the Zoom F1 Field Recorder Set or Zoom F8n Multitrack Field Recorder. In our lab, it integrates seamlessly with our multimedia recording system, comprising the Sennheiser TeamConnect Ceiling or Epiphan Pearl 2.

Sennheiser TeamConnect Ceiling 2
Sennheiser TeamConnect Ceiling 2 is a microphone array that consists of 28 Sennheiser KE 10-237 microphone capsules. It makes use of dynamic beamforming and voice detection to automatically focus on whoever is speaking in the room. It is installed in the ceiling of the lab and can be used for interviews, focus groups or other research activities in various settings. It can be combined with the Sennheiser Lavelier Microphone, and is connected to our Epiphan Pearl 2 recording system.
