In the summer of 2023, University of Antwerp and the University of Witwatersrand will organise a summer school for six master's students of the Master of Cultural Management.

During the summer school, students will conduct research on community arts in South Africa. Students investigate how existing informal art practices can be made visible. Art practices from Belgium and South Africa will be studied and compared. Students will have to work with different creative methodologies. Their research will lead to recommendations on how cultural policy can respond to encourage cultural participation and informal learning.
