Educational assessments

The University of Antwerp organises the following educational assessments:

Programme assessments

Assessment of programme components

(course assessments): This involves an assessment of the individual programme components belonging to each of a programme's course/lecturer combinations. One aim of the programme component assessments is to provide lecturers with feedback on their educational methods and on the content of their courses so that they can adapt these where necessary. In addition, the assessments are designed to assist educational commissions in assessing and improving the quality of the programme components. These assessments are then processed into lecturer reports and programme reports.

Focus group discussions

During focus group discussions, a representative group of students from a given programme are asked about various aspects of the quality of the education provided. This qualitative research method allows students to flag up any educational problems so that lecturers can respond quickly.
