Green Team

Sustainability and climate change are issues that concern us all. That's why we created the Green Team, where faculty members can make their voices heard. We don't just want to do research or teach about sustainability, we also want to do our part as a faculty.

Here are 12 tips so you can make a difference.

  1. Make your workplace greener with plants, they purify the air and create a pleasant working atmosphere.
  2. Turn off unused devices and disconnect chargers when a device is charged.
  3. Turn off lights when you leave your workplace.
  4. Close windows and doors, and set the thermostat to 19 degrees (between setting 2 and 3).
  5. Take the stairs as much as possible: it's ecological, and healthy too!
  6. Print as little as possible, work digitally if possible. If you print, do it double-sided.
  7. Use your own coffee mug or drinking bottle for tap water, avoiding disposable cups and bottles.
  8. Avoid waste and recycle whenever possible. Nespresso pads can go in the blue PMD bag.
  9. You can share reusable goods in the giveaway closet in the entrance hall.
  10. Replace cow's milk with oatmilk, a sustainable alternative now offered by our faculty.
  11. Install Ecosia through this link, so you surf greener and help plant trees.
  12. Choose sustainable transportation and limit your air travel as much as possible. If you do fly, offset your CO2 emissions.
