Safety and transgressive behaviour

As a faculty, we aim for an inclusive environment where everyone feels physically, mentally and emotionally safe. Collegiality and respect for others, regardless of position, experience or background, is of great importance to us. Therefore, we do not tolerate violence, harassment, sexually transgressive behavior, discrimination, racism, abuse of power or any other form of transgressive behavior.

Should you observe such behavior, do not hesitate to react because you can make the situation safer. This can be done, for example, by remaining present, by involving other bystanders, by speaking to those involved, by creating a distraction, or by removing one of the people involved from the situation. Assess what you think is the best approach, and what you feel most comfortable and safe with.

If you yourself are confronted with an unsafe situation or transgressive behavior, you can contact various people and organizations.
