Students and staff of the University of Antwerp are free to attend any of our introductions or workshops.

We offer workshops to get familiar with creating, designing, 3D printing and laser cutting. Are you a student or staff member and are you willing to give a workshop yourself?  Contact us!

The workshops are in Dutch. We offer English workshops on request.

Starter course laser cutting - 6th February / 6th March / 20th March / 3rd April

New to laser cutting and curious to learn more? Not sure where to begin?

What? 
You'll create your own design using a vector graphics program and prepare it for laser cutting. Along the way, you'll learn how to operate a laser cutter and spot common design or printing issues before they happen.

When? 

  • Friday 6th February: 1.30 - 3.30 PM
  • Friday 6th March: 10 - 12 AM
  • Friday 20th March: 10 - 12 AM
  • Friday 3rd April: 2 - 4 PM

What will you bring? 
Bring along some healthy enthusiasm, and your own laptop if possible!

Starter course 3D printing - 19th February / 25th March 2026

Interested in 3D printing but don’t know where to start?

Join our workshop and learn how to turn your 3D model into a real object. No prior experience needed.

The workshop is free; filament costs are charged based on usage.

​You'll download a simple 3D model (or bring your own) and prepare it for printing using 3D printing software.You'll learn how to operate a 3D printer and identify common issues that can occur during the printing process.

Wednesday 25th March 2026: 9.30 - 11.30 p.m. (+ 1 hour for questions)
