How to apply for a room?

Complete your request for accommodation in Mobility Online and choose one of the housing options:

  • Book a room in one of the university residences. Keep in mind that the number of rooms is limited and you only receive one offer.
  • Find out about Kotweb and collect contact details for landlords on the private market who are willing to rent for one semester.

Keep in mind that:

  • the number of rooms in the university residences is limited.
  • the average price for a student room with a shared bathroom and shared kitchen on the private market is EUR 390/month. In most cases, costs like internet, water, gas, electricity and heating are not included. The average price for a studio with a private bathroom and/or private kitchen on the private market is EUR 450/month. In most cases, costs like internet, water, gas, electricity and heating are not included.

When will I receive more information about my housing application?

Due to the large number of incoming students, the International Student Housing Office will send you only one housing option. Don't forget to check your spam folder as well.

You will receive more information about your housing request between the following deadlines:

Students arriving in the first semester (autumn):

  • Between 8 June and 17 July 2020
    Please note that we can only send you information about housing once your application for the University of Antwerp has been completed and approved by the faculty. If you haven’t heard any news on the status of your application by the first week of July please contact the international coordinator for a status update.

Students arriving in the second semester (spring):

  • Between 19 November and 19 December 2020
    Please note that we can only send you information about housing once your application for the University of Antwerp has been completed and approved by the faculty. If you haven’t heard any news on the status of your application by the first week of December please contact the international coordinator for a status update.

What rooms do we offer?

  • ECLIPS - Stadscampus
    • 40 rooms in Biekorfstraat, 2060 Antwerp for EUR 355 per month (costs included) 
    • The house has a total of 44 student rooms and 2 kitchens. There is a daily concierge service for inspection and maintenance of the common areas. The rooms are furnished with a bed, mattress, desk, chair, washbasin, internet, ... There is one shower per 2 or 3 persons. A washing machine can be found in the entrance hall. 
  • BOUDEWIJNSSTRAAT - Stadscampus
    • 11 single studios with private kitchen and shared bathroom in Boudewijnsstraat, 2000 Antwerp for EUR 340-400 per month (costs included)
    • 1 single studio with private kitchen and shared bathroom in Boudewijnsstraat, 2000 Antwerp for EUR 400 per month (costs included)
    • 2 double studios (one bedroom) with private kitchen and private bathroom in Boudewijnsstraat, 2000 Antwerp for EUR 600 per month (costs included)
  • KOTMERCKX - Stadscampus
    • 45 rooms in Lange Winkelstraat and Rodestraat, 2000 Antwerp for EUR 310-400 per month (costs included)
    • The rooms (8 - 18 m²) are furnished with a single bed with mattress, desk, chair, wardrobe, sink with cold water and an internet connection. 
  • HOME CAMPUS DRIE EIKEN
    • 16 rooms at Campus Drie Eiken - Dr. Donnyplein, 2610 Wilrijk for EUR 225 per month (costs included)
    • The rooms (12 m²) are furnished with a single bed with mattress, desk, chair, wardrobe, sink with hot/cold water and an internet connection. Each floor (10 rooms) has a kitchen with dining area, 2 showers and 2 toilets for common use. There is a common room with tv, ping pong, ... A washing and drying machine can be used for a fee. 

Keep in mind that:

  • the rooms in the student residences need to be rented for five months: 01.09.2020 – 31.01.2021 or 02.02.2021 – 30.06.2021.
