Microfluidics-based multilevel characterization and validation of innovative FAP-targeting immunotherapies

Organisation: CellPly, Italy

Supervisor: Dr. Laura Rocchi

Co-supervisor: Prof. Pier Luigi Zinzani

Hi! I am Héctor Caballero, doctoral candidate at Cellply. In 2021, I obtained my BSc in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Barcelona and completed a research stay at the Cordeliers Research Centre in Paris. My interest in cancer biology took me to study an MSc in Biomedical Research at the Pompeu Fabra University and conduct my Master's Thesis at the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute within the University of Cambridge, with a focus on understanding the dynamic cross-talk between tumor and innate immune cells. During these years, I developed a deep passion for translational cancer research, immuno-oncology, and innovative drug development.

Now, I am joining Cellply with the aim of developing a comprehensive characterization and validation of novel protease-targeting cellular immunotherapies (e.g. CAR T cells) by using an innovative microfluidics-based AI-powered analytical platform with single-cell resolution.

By joining OncoProTools, I’ll contribute to an unparalleled multidisciplinary research network of world-class leaders in oncology, immunotherapeutics, and medical chemistry, spanning from basic research to clinical application. This collaborative effort has the potential of making transformative contributions to cutting-edge cancer research and immunotherapy development.
