Required knowledge prior to this course

As this is not a starters/basic course on vestibular disorders, each participant is responsible for his/her knowledge regarding this topic prior to the course. All physicians, physiotherapists or other clinicians involved in the multidisciplinary care of people with dizziness who’s education covered vestibular rehabilitation (during their bachelor and/or master) and/or physiotherapists or other clinicians that followed one of the following basic courses are supposed to have sufficient knowledge: Revalidatie van patiënten met vertigo (UGent, IPVK/Acrehab), Kinesitherapie bij vestibulaire aandoeningen: unilateraal perifeer vestibulair functieverlies of BPPV (Uantwerpen, Movant), Fysiotherapie bij perifeer vestibulaire aandoeningen (NPI, Nederland) or Basisstudiedag/Masterclass Fysiotherapie en Duizeligheid (Duizeligheidscentrum, Apeldoorn),...

If needed, two pre-courses in Dutch are offered: one on unilateral vestibulopathies and one on BPPV. More information about the pre-courses is presented below.


Unilateral vestibulopathy

Are you interested in registering for the Antwerp International Vestibular Course but would you like to follow a basic course on (physiotherapeutic) assessment and treatment of peripheral vestibulopathy beforehand?

On Friday the 24th of March, a basic course will be organized on assessment and treatment of a unilateral peripheral vestibulopathy. The course will be organized in Dutch and can be attended by physicians, physiotherapists or other clinicians involved in the multidisciplinary care of people with dizziness. 

Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV)

Are you interested in registering for the Antwerp International Vestibular Course but would you like to follow a basic course on (physiotherapeutic) assessment and treatment of BPPV beforehand? 

On Thursday the 23rd of February, a basic course will be organized on assessment and basic treatment techniques of BPPV. The course will be organized in Dutch and can be attended by physicians, physiotherapists or other clinicians involved in the multidisciplinary care of people with dizziness.
