Fondation Royaumont – 30 October to 1 November 2021
Following the previous SIMM-seminars at the Sibelius Academy (Helsinki, November 2018) and at the University of Antwerp (ARIA, November 2019), the 3rd seminar will bring together a small group of up to 20 participants. Special about this seminar is that it will not only welcome researchers but also musicians actively involved in the practice of music in social and community work.
The deadline of the call is 31st May and the call can be found here on the SIMM website. This seminar is organised at and by the Fondation Royaumont, in a close collaboration with the Philharmonie de Paris and SIMM. It will allow for 3 days of intensive exchanges of ideas and experiences between researchers and musicians, facilitated by experienced facilitators with experience in the field of music in social and community work.
Paris, Philharmonie de Paris, 3 & 4 November 2021
The upcoming international SIMM-posium will be organised at and by the Philharmonie de Paris, in collaboration with the Fondation Royaumont and SIMM. Most probably attendance to the Paris SIMM-posium will also be possible online, thanks to live streaming. The deadline of the call is 31st May and the call for participations and presentations can be found here on the website of the SIMM-platform.
The focus of both the Royaumont seminar as well as of the Paris symposium will be the role musicians may have in social and community work, and their needs in terms of training and accompaniment.
