All classes will take place on campus.
The IOB academic calendar shows the periods of classes, holidays and important deadlines throughout the academic year. The academic calendar will be made available at the beginning of the academic year.
All three Master programmes are structured as follows
- 7 - 11 September 2026: Introduction Week
- 11 September 2026: Opening Academic Year 2026-2027 + graduation 2025-2026
- 14 September – 13 November 2026: Theories of development & Research methods I (9 course weeks)
- 16 November – 18 December 2026: EDE/GOV/GLOB (5 course weeks)
- 19 December 2026 - 3 January 2027: Christmas holiday for students
- 4 – 29 January 2027: EDE/GOV/GLOB cont’d (4 course weeks)
- 1 February – 26 March 2027: LISA/IPG (8 course weeks)
- 27 March – 11 April 2027: Easter holiday for students
- 12 – 16 April 2027: LISA/IPG Cont’d (1 course week)
- 22 April – 31 May 2027: Research methods II (6 course weeks)
- 1 June – 28 August 2027: Dissertation (12 weeks)
Timetable
The class timetable is the day-by-day overview of classes, including a clear overview of deadlines for assignments, submission of forms, etc. The class timetable will be made available through SISA and the student portal, and through the noticeboard at the student office. The class timetable is subject to last-minute changes; changes will be communicated to students by e-mail immediately.
The class schedule will be made available during the second week of September.
