Computers and ICT

Language courses

UAntwerp students can sign up for online language courses via Altissia. For only 10 EUR per year, you have access to language courses in English, German, Spanish, French, Italian and Dutch. All languages and all levels, from beginners to advanced, are available at the same time.  Each module consists of exercises, vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation. Through videos and animated films you can improve your language skills in an interactive way. The modules don’t necessarily focus on academic language, but on language used in everyday situations.

The university’s language centre Linguapolis also organises various intensive language courses at the beginning of each semester and during the academic year. 

Student restaurants

Every campus at the University of Antwerp has a restaurant catering to students. Here, delicious and sustainable meals are provided at affordable prices. The restaurants also serve as a social location to meet with fellow students.

The student restaurant of the city campus is Komida and is located in Koningstraat 8 - 2000 Antwerp. Opening hours Every weekday between 11.45 a.m. and 1.45 p.m. and during study periods and exam periods: between 12 noon and 1.30 p.m. Komida is a free-flow student restaurant: dish of the day, vegetarian dish, pasta of the week, grilled steak or chicken skewer, cold platter, sandwiches, salad bar, soup and dessert.

The Agora Caffee is a social spot where you can have melancholic coffee, a quiet bite to eat, a healthy snack, a refreshing beer... and is located at the corner of Grote Kauwenberg en Vekestraat, 2000 Antwerp.

Support during your studies

The IOB student office is your primary supporting service for academic issues, social issues and guidance through administrative procedures. 

The central student information point STIP can offer counselling and psychological support.
