Award-winning books inspire anonymous artists
From Friday 24 April to Friday 22 May, the library is organising the third edition of the Arty Farty Library at the library on the Stadscampus.
Following an adventurous edition in 2022 and a beastly edition in 2023, a new ‘princely’ edition is now set to take place in 2026.
For this participatory art project, library staff members Jolien Cuyvers and Jeroen Van Gorp challenged their colleagues to get to work with a wine crate and draw inspiration from an award-winning book from the Prinshoek.
The Prinshoek is a reading corner in the library’s Language & Literature reading room (Prinsstraat side) where books that have recently won a literary prize are displayed. This project promoting reading is a joint initiative of the Library & Archives Department and the Department of Literature at the Faculty of Arts.
The result is once again fantastic. The creativity of the library staff never ceases to amaze. Everyone is welcome to visit the exhibition.
Visitors can submit their top 3.
