In vivo investigation of FAP-targeting UniCAR T cell therapies combined with radio- and chemotherapy

Hey! My name is Muslimbek and I am from Uzbekistan. I am a physician scientist who is interested in the brain. I try to understand how our brain works, what exactly goes wrong when a particular disease manifests in a particular patient so we can offer a tailored cure to that very patient. After graduating from med school, I did a year of specialization in Neurosurgery focusing on to treat suitable intractable epilepsies with a surgical approach. Then, I had an opportunity to do a research within the Be In Precision EMJMD by Grenoble Alpes, Barcelona and Federico 2 Universities. For masters, I focused on direct cell reprogramming (to obtain induced neurons from skin fibroblasts) to learn more about and to test a drug on inherited neuropathies (CMT2 (SORD deficiency). Cancer cells show very similar behavior with stem cells and recent advances in treatment, particularly the success of CAR T- cell therapy in liquid tumors proved that it is possible to make a difference for each patient. But unfortunately, translation into solid tumors is a contemporary question to scientists. Currently, within the framework of OncoProTools as a DC 7, I will explore the potential of CAR T cell design for treatment of glioblastoma by modulating the tumor microenvironment combined with chemo and radiotherapy so it is a perfect opportunity to do what I do best and to have enjoyment to discover the new boundaries.
