Vincent Van Rompaey is an associate professor at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of the University of Antwerp and Otolaryngologist at the Antwerp University Hospital. He is responsible for teaching otology and neurotology to medical students and research in the field of auditory and vestibular neuroscience at the dept. of Translational Neurosciences and Otorhinolaryngology. He is the lab director of the Experimental laboratory of Translational Neurosciences where his research focuses on fundamental research in mouse models of hearing loss and clinical aspects of hearing loss, bilateral vestibulopathy, cochlear implantation, as well as innovative inner ear therapies, patient attitudes towards these future therapies and overall cost-utility. Vincent Van Rompaey authored more than 190 Web of Science cited papers (1.600+ WoS citations, H-index: 22).
