Workgroup PhD-students in Sciences

Workgroup PhD-students in Sciences (WDW) provides contact between the doctoral students of Sciences, Pharmaceutical, Biomedical and Veterinary Sciences and their representatives in the various sections of the university. The goal of this group is to improve communication and to defend the interests of the doctoral students. In recent years, WDW has further developed the doctoral study programme and has adjusted several decisions made by the academic authorities in favor of the doctoral students.

The WDW is formed by two annually elected representatives from the various departments of Sciences, Pharmaceutical, Biomedical and Veterinary Sciences. Recently the faculty association Design Sciences and Nautical Sciences were added. In addition, the representatives of the council of the Antwerp Doctoroal School are also invited to this meeting so that the information flow is optimal.

The WDW members are always available to talk about problems and suggestions regarding your doctorate and you doctoral study programme.

The current President and Vice-president are Jeroen Van Dijck (FWET) and Anvesh Jallapally (FBD).
