International Student Mobility Fund

a collaboration between the Faculty of Law and the University Fund

The Faculty of Law aims to help society in any way possible. Therefore, the faculty has established a support fund for international student mobility, in cooperation with the University Fund and the faculty's alumni association Antwerp Law Net.

This support fund focuses on supporting international mobility for outgoing and incoming students with insufficient financial capacity.

Give law students the opportunity to develop their talents

The Faculty of Law has 80 partner universities in 30 different countries. Around 50 Antwerp students study at one of our partner universities every year. The faculty welcomes about 80 foreign students a year.

An experience abroad contributes to the professional and personal development of students, but for a lot of students - even with a scholarship - it is not a given. After all, one semester at a non-European university costs an outgoing student an average of €5,000.

For a lot of students from partner universities, a stay at the Antwerp law school is even less obvious. Some renowned partner universities therefore make exchanges dependent on financial support from an incoming student. Certainly for participation in the Antwerp English LL.M, the total cost rises to €20,000 for two years.

We count on the members of the Antwerp Law Net - alumni, companies and other partners - to make the foreign experience more inclusive with this support fund. For the selection of students, we cooperate with the Social Service of the University of Antwerp. In addition, the faculty assesses students' motivation and how they distinguish themselves, with study results or otherwise. In this regard, also discover our Student Wall of Fame.
