Dissemination

The alumni barometer project organizes several activities to disseminate the results of the study and share the lessons learned with a wider audience.

Tanzania

On the 8th of December 2021, a CONFERENCE  was organised at Morogoro Hotel, Tanzania. Alumni team members from Ethiopia, Uganda, Tanzania and the Philippines and Belgium presented the results of the ALUMNI IMPACT BAROMETER to a broad audience of students, academic staff, practitioners and other interested participants. In the morning, a short workshop on alumni policy was organised. It was a great pleasure to welcome more than 100 in-person and online participants from different countries and continents at the Conference ALUMNI IMPACT BAROMETER & COMMUNITOR! We would like to thank them very much for their attendance and fruitful discussions! 

Eight members of the alumni barometer team -  W. Casten (Philippines), S. Dewachter (Belgium), T. Gebremariam Adhanom (Ethiopia), N. Holvoet (Belgium), H. Makundi (Tanzania), N. Mugabi (Uganda), Y. Nawanda (Tanzania), W. Pallangyo (Tanzania) - jointly prepared the presentations, research report, briefer and social media communication about the project.

Uganda

On the 2nd of March 2022, an IOB alumni seminar was organised in Kampala, Uganda. Mr. Nicholas Mugabi, as part of the Alumni barometer research team presented the findings of the research project at the alumni event.

Community talk

As part of the VLIR-UOS series of community talks, the IOB alumni barometer project is presented in an online session on Wednesday March 30th 2022. Alumni barometer team member Wanda Casten ( Philippines), Nathalie Holvoet & Sara Dewachter (IOB) shared some of the findings and lessons learned with the (online) audience. The presentation will be made available afterwards.

The Philippines

The Filipino barometer country team (Grachel Manguni, Rose Villar, Marian Gamboa and Wanda Casten) organise an alumni get together event (23rd of April 2022). Beside alumni reconnecting, and sharing some of the work they have been engaging in, the team will also present the findings of the alumni barometer study at the event.
