ARIAdne Launch Event 21 - 23 October 2026

It is with great pleasure that we announce the launch of ARIAdne – the new doctoral network of ARIA – an international network of doctors in the arts who have been affiliated with ARIA at the University of Antwerp and the Antwerp Schools of Arts. To mark this occasion, we are organizing a multi-day event in Antwerp, dedicated to exchange, reflection, and artistic research.

Programme

Wednesday 21 October 2026 – ARIAdne Gathering

  • Morning – Breakfast Meeting
An informal session offering space to share and discuss ongoing research with fellow alumni.
  • Afternoon – Midday Symposium (in collaboration with the Young Academy, Royal Flemish Academy of Belgium for Science and the Arts)
Theme: valorisation of artistic research output. More information to be communicated.
  • Evening – Social Event
Network gathering in the city of Antwerp

Thursday – Friday 22–23 October 2026 – ARTICULATE Research Festival

Participants are welcome to attend workshops, presentations, and performances throughout the festival.

The central theme of ARTICULATE 2026 is “Presence / Absence”— an artistic and theoretical field exploring the dynamics between visibility and invisibility, memory and performativity.

More details about the programme will be announced in the coming months.

We kindly ask you to let us know by June 22 at the latest whether you will be attending, whether you would like to present your current research, and whether you would like to stay informed about future activities.
