Meesterproef 2005 (Vlaamse Bouwmeester - Flemish Government Architect), selection of architect and artist for the design brief of social housing
Research questions.
(1) to investigate the added value of a specific collaboration of architect and artist in the design process in order to understand the potentials of a multidisciplinary designing approach and of abstract independent artistic thinking confronting realistic implementation in a physical and social context.
(2) to investigate new configurations and typologies for collective housing that mediate between an existing fabric of terraced housing with uniformed allotments in order to improve social and spatial integration of social housing within a traditional smallscale village environment
