Studieopdracht voor het opmaken van een masterplan voor het projectgebied 'De Werve Hoef' te Wijnegem

Research questions.

The masterplan experiments with new concepts on several levels :

- Can combining the houses around a collective outside space be an alternative for the traditional flemisch allotment?

- Doesn't real sustainability occurs when jour allotments provides your own food?

The allotment is combined with a CSA (Community Suppoprted Agriculture) CSA allows city residents to have direct access to high quality, fresh produce grown locally by a regional farmer.

When you become a member of a CSA, you’re purchasing a “share” of vegetables from a regional farmer. Weekly or bi-weekly, from June until October or November, you can collect that share by paying an anual membership.

-Can a prototype masterplan for developing new allotments be designed if the layout of the masterplan starts from the landscape and combines the CSA fields with the dwellings?
