Impala developments and tools for ILL evaluation - Renke Saerens & Jan Corthouts
In this session we will give an outline of some recent developments in Impala, such as the application that allows printing bpost labels and track & trace. We also present general data on the use of Impala during the last 10 years. And in these times of budget cuts we would like to focus on the tools Impala offers to evaluate the interlibrary loan activities of your own library.
INIST-CNRS, institute of Scientific and Technical information: a CNRS institute serving research - Brigitte Clément
Brigitte Clement will describe how INIST, a service unit affiliated to the CNRS, has operated a turnabout to respond to the needs of all French researchers communities in the digital landscape. This talk will also discuss how a complete shift of INIST CNRS missions has impacted document delivery activity and the process INIST has to implement to face new challenges. In 2013, INIST was faced with a legal issue. A final part of the contribution will focus on the subject matter of this issue and the adjustments INIST had to make to secure new ILL activities. Added-value is central to the new approach of document delivery at the service of all public research members.
OCLC Nederland - Joep Bastiaans & Ellen Hartman
WorldShare provides a complete set of library management applications and services built on an open, cloud-based platform. OCLC is moving all library management tasks onto this platform where data and activities can be efficiently reused in as many situations as possible, reducing effort and saving time for library staff. Joep Bastiaans and Ellen Hartman will present to us their strategy to implement this WorldShare platform in libraries in the Netherlands. This also has consequences for the current interlibrary loan system PiCarta/NCC.

Inter Library Loan (ILL) for public libraries in Flanders is currently financed by the provinces. Recently, the province of Antwerp decided to stop this support. The other provinces will cease their financial support by January 2017. Therefore, public libraries in Flanders need to rethink their ILL policies. In this session we will discuss the reasons and the current principles for ILL in public libraries and we will have a brief look at the possible future of ILL.
