Miniworkshops at ULB (partially) funded by EoS-2

This miniworkshop is held jointly by the Geometry and Analysis Research Groups of the ULB, KUL and UAntwerpen and is funded by the Excellence of Science grant "Beyond Symplectic Geometry". The workshop will take place on Friday 6th December 2024, at the ULB. The main aim is to give the junior members of all three groups the chance to meet each other and hear about their research.

Registration:

In order to be able to estimate the amount of coffee & food etc. registration is mandatory (but free of charge) with deadline Nov 28, 2028. Registration is done by sending an email to the local organizer Joel Fine containing your name, affiliation, and saying if you attend lunch or not and, if yes, potential dietary restrictions.

Program: There will be 4 talks:

10.30h: Andreas Schüßler (KUL), title.

11.45h: Federico Zadra (UAntwerpen), title.

13.00h: Lunch

14.30h: Pedro Santos (UAntwerpen), title + abstract.

15.45h: Mateo Anarella (KUL), title + abstract.

Venue:

The two talks before lunch will take place in Forum H. The two talks after lunch will take place in the Salle des Profs on the 9th floor of building NO.

Miniworkshops at KU Leuven (partially) funded by EoS-2

This miniworkshop is held jointly by the Geometry and Analysis Research Groups of the ULB, KUL and UAntwerpen and is funded by the Excellence of Science grant "Beyond Symplectic Geometry". This workshop will take place on Friday, March 14, 2025 at KU Leuven. The main aim is to give the junior members of all three groups the chance to meet each other and hear about their research.

Registration:

Registration will open soon (deadline = Friday 7 March 2025). Registration it is free but mandatory since the KU Leuven EoS team needs to know the number of participants for organizational reasons (lunch, amount of coffee during breaks etc.).

The workshop will take place on Friday, March 14, 2025 at KU Leuven in Building B (= Math Building) in Room 02.18

Travel instructions:

By car: If you intend to come by car you may use the parking lot Parking Kapeldreef, a white multistory parking lot located on the street Kapeldreef, at the very beginning when coming from Celestijnenlaan. A parking code will be provided later on.

By train and bus: From the Leuven train station to campus, you can take De Lijn busses number 2 or number 12 at the bus terminal next to the train station. The ride takes about 25 minutes. Get off at the last stop (Campus Arenberg). You can pay by credit card on the bus (2.50 EUR) or buy a ticked in advance.
