The second B-magic research event will take place on 20 February at KADOC, Leuven. This research event will explore the role of the magic lantern and other visual aids in education. Our guest and speaker is Prof. dr. Jens Ruchatz from the Institute of Media Studies at the Philipps University Marburg, who will give a lecture on “Photographic Dispositives in Education. Observations on the historical usage of print, projection and stereography".
The research event is a collaboration with KADOC Leuven and will include an exhibition on the visual tools for teaching and learning in their collection, as well as an introduction to/tour of the KADOC collection of magic lantern slides and related material.
