Human-induced climate change is accelerating, and is threatening the very habitability of our planet. Our fossil fuel addiction will need to be left behind and technology will be essential to reduce our carbon emissions to the atmosphere. In this lecture, we will review key technologies and their potential contribution to meeting the challenge of achieving the goals of the Paris Agreement. Their limits will also be discussed, together with non-technological elements of the solution.
