The objective of the PLASMON-ELECTROLIGHT project is to elaborate an efficient sensor strategy to detect pharmaceuticals. The detection technique will be developed from an original photoelectrochemical detection strategy that is boosted by advanced photosensitizers, plasmonic enhancement, and affinity recognition. The University of Antwerp is leading this project. The research will be performed in the AXES (Antwerp X-ray Analysis, Electrochemistry and Speciation) and DuEL (Sustainable Energy and Air Purification) lab in close interaction with our international partners, the M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University (Russia) and the University of Medicine and Pharmacy (Romania).
