Lisa holds a degree in Architectural Engineering (2013) and a Master’s degree in Urbanism and Spatial Planning (2015). Through the international focus of the MaUSP program and her work as an Enabel Junior for Rikolto, she has gained experience in global urban environments, including in Brazil and Tanzania. This has sparked a lasting interest in the social dimensions of built space. Lisa has worked in both architectural and urban design practices in Belgium. Since 2024, she has been working for the Design Sciences Hub on research projects that address social injustice caused by mobility-related policy frameworks.

Favorite (place in the) city

I love exploring the diversity of cities. There’s beauty in discovering a sense of home and shared human experiences in places that look wildly different at first sight. That said, Stockholm has a wonderful combination of old grandeur and modern brightness, Scandinavian lifestyle and a strong presence of water throughout the city that I find very attractive.
