I am Nutritionist-Dietitian (Philippines) with a postgraduate training Sustainable Food Systems. My PhD dissertation investigated the role of urban housing and kitchen design in promoting healthy food practices using qualitative and quantitative methods. My research interests include using systems science to understand the role of the built environment (urban housing) in addressing health inequalities, non-communicable diseases, as well as interdisciplinary methods in designing healthy, just, and environmentally-sound urban food systems.

Praia Vermelha, Rio de Janeiro. An intimate beach within a lushly green cove that’s a stone throw away from the city centre – need I say more.
