A first introduction to practical implementation of Interdisciplinary research for PhD researchers.

Would you like to strengthen your interdisciplinary research skills in a focused, practical, and efficient way? We warmly invite PhD researchers to join this unique workshop programme designed specifically for early-career researchers wanting to explore working across disciplines. This course offers a valuable opportunity to broaden your research perspective, connect with fellow researchers from different fields, and develop skills that are increasingly essential in today’s research environment.

  • Session 1: Introduction to Interdisciplinarity & Matchmaking
Discover how researchers from different disciplines look at the same challenge in completely different ways. Get to know other PhD researchers, exchange research ideas, and find unexpected connections that could inspire new collaborations and fresh perspectives for your own work.
  • Session 2: Ideation & Integration

Turn ideas into new possibilities. Explore how insights, methods, and concepts from different disciplines can come together to create innovative research approaches and open up new directions for your PhD and future career.

  • Session 3: Project generation & Dialogue

Generate your first common IDR project. Get feedback from peers and experts, and reflect on how interdisciplinary research can create impact within and beyond academia. Gain inspiration for how to apply interdisciplinary thinking in your own future research projects.
